Jinshi was firstly block-printed in Zhizheng period at Hangzhou, and reprinted in Hongwu period at Fujian. The Baina edition contains 79 volumes of Zhizheng’s edition and 58 volumes of Hongwu’s edition, which contradict to Zhang Yuanji’s own postscript. There are 8 incomplete books of Zhizheng’s which can be tracked today. The Hongwu’s was the most lifelike one to the Zhizheng’s. Hongwu’s was soon repaired and caused lower quality. Nanjian’s edtion was based on a repaired Hongwu’s, while Beijian’s editon was based on Nanjian’s, and Wuyingdian edtion of Qianlong 4th year was based on Beijian’s. All of the 3 copies corrected a little obvious mistakes and produced more new mistakes. The Wuyingdian’s was translated and researched again in the latter period of Qianlong. These achivements were inherited by another Wuyingdian’s edtion in Daoguang 4th year. The Daoguang’s edtion has most mistakes and most excellent textual criticisms. Jiangsushuju’s edtion was just an imitation of Daoguang’s. |
