An Overview of Distributed Computing Based on Sybase Architecture

Distributed computing' specifies that the execution of application logic occurs in multiple locations. In this paper, we present an overview of distributed computing architecture which based on Sybase solutions, that has been merged into the services of SAP company in 2010. This architecture has been implemented in our Computer Center and provides distributed services to the departments over the campus. Since lots of different technologies between Sybase CORBA-based and Microsoft .NET-based, several critical issues must be considered before system migration.
