In recent global earthquakes, tsunamis and other natural disasters caused significant losses of lives and property. For disaster relief or to reduce disaster losses, some mobile equipment will be used to detect the situation of the disaster region. For example, the 311 earthquake in Japan, a nuclear disaster in Fukushima was triggered. Unmanned remote control car was deployed into the power plant and the reactor building to monitor the severity of radiation leaks. Therefore, we hope to integrate mechanical and electrical information technology, fulfil the developing a remote control vehicle surveillance system for the target environment of rescue. So that rescuers may take a better environment control of the damaged region, and maximize the effectiveness of rescue mission.The camera of the system can be vertical or horizontal moved, and the surveillance image can be viewed from remote computer while we drive the vehicle move to the location for observation and surveillance. With the sensors of temperature and humidity, a variety of useful data can be collected at the computer by wireless network. Thus, more practical and precise decision can be determined after the data analysis. This paper describes a design of low cost remote control sport utility vehicle, using a variety of environmental sensors and the wireless network transmission. And the first generation prototype of Environment Monitoring Vehicle will be implemented. |
