As a famous scholar in favor of classical prescription, Professor Hu Xishu dedicates his whole life to the study of 'Shanghan Lun (focusing on febrile conditions attributed to 'Cold')'and 'Jingui Yaolue (focusing on 'miscellaneous illnesses')' . Following the theory of 'prescription is the most important part in differentiation' , Hu’s disciples carry on his work and continue developing prescription-symptom theory system. According to Hu's thoughts, Zhang Zhongjing's written works were developed from 'Yiyin's Decoction Classic' not from 'Huangdi Neijing' . It is a different school from Neijing. He thinks that 'liu jing' means six basic types of disease not six meridians-organs. The pair of Taiyang-Shaoyin is external syndrome. The pair of Yangming-Taiyin is internal syndrome. The pair of Shaoyang-Chuehyin is semi-exterior and semi-interior syndrome. Under the theory of Hu, pulse conditions are simply divided into two types of 'excess' and 'deficiency' based on their original sources. This makes pulse diagnosis easy to learn and understand. Mr. Hu is not famous only in Taiwan but also in Japan. He is renowned as a famous unique-style researcher and scholar in favor of classical prescription about 'Shanghan Lun' in China |
