This study was designed to assess the effect of creative drama instruction to creativity and self-esteem of elementary school students. The instruments for this study were New Creative Thinking Test, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. New Creative Thinking Test and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were measured before and after this instruction. ANCOVA was used to examine the differences. The results showed that: 1.The creative drama instruction raised treatment group’s originality in verbal creativity. 2.The creative drama instruction raised treatment group’s originality and elaboration in figural creativity. 3.The creative drama instruction could not raise treatment group’s self-esteem. 4.After the creative drama instruction, children in the treatment group showed positive feedback. |
