Andy Warhol's enigmatic telling of his own backdrop hides his inner anxiety. He combines paintings, photographies, films to express his own sexuality relevant experiences and insights. He takes creation as a movement and criticizes social culture. Warhol is a crazy fetishist, in his dresses and works, not only showing his fetish tendencies, but also full of sexual codes. He lets homosexual works join in the palace of art, and lets drag queens in his list of celebrity portraits. His films even let male lust get a strong screen display. Therefore the ethnic which is cheap denounced by hegemony can agglomerate and combine to fight for its rightful living space. Warhol's homosexual arts don't close to the economy market, refuse to incorporate by the heterosexual mainstream culture, those are independent of political ideology service, and are full of self-ambition and emotional projection of high value. Warhol renegades traditional sexual discourse, away from the control of heterosexual hegemony, and presents "real" homosexual life in a radical way. Severe culture shock and anxiety era are hidden behind his works. His works are built on a kind of real utopia, showing homosexual passion and dreams, so that the public has to face the existence of homosexuality. |
