In recent years, the creation and application of knowledge and knowledge management have been considered as the source of enterprise's key competitiveness. Through effective knowledge management to enhance knowledge on business and personal value and efficiency, and thus enhance competitiveness has become a key issue. More and more enterprises introduce business intelligence as a main tool for knowledge management to enhance the operating efficiency and competitive advantage of the organizations. This study explores the effectiveness of introducing BI by chain pharmaceuticals. Empirical results found in four dimensions: process efficiency, commodity management, customer service, and chain dimensions of effectiveness. The conclusion can assist other pharmaceuticals to assess the feasibility of introduction of business intelligence. It also provides enterprises recommendations and suggestions of implementing the business intelligence systems. |
