Due to high speed economic development and growth of GDP, the contents and styles of people leisure are changing. One of an important leisure motivation is to improve people’s physical and mental health. Leisure experience is an important factor for life quality improvement. How the leisure motivation can influence the quality of life is an important issue. This study adopts quality of life as an indicator of physical and mental health. We use authenticity experience as mediator to investigate the relationship between leisure motivation and quality of life. 252 samples are received from consumers who have bed and breakfast (B&B) leisure experience. The data analysis shows that the leisure motivation has positive influences on quality of life. And this influencing relationship is mediated by both subject and object authenticity experiences. We also find that, for B&B consumers, the mediated effects are higher by subject authenticity experiences than object authenticity experiences. Based on this conclusion, the managerial implications are discussed and some useful suggestions are provided for practice. |
