This research mainly probes into the operating performance of the summer camps. The 30 echelons of operational data of summer camp in 2009 are the decision marking units (DMUs) for analysis are provided by BROS Sports Marketing Company. The CCR model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is used to evaluate the operating efficiency. The analytical results show that the efficiency score about 20 echelons of summer camp are less than expected, and their score are between 0.625 and 0.973. In which, most of the non-sports and swimming camps have poor performances. The reasons may be the higher cost of hiring professional teachers and additional courses materials cost. It thus results in lower profits and operating performances. We suggested that the operators may engage employments with the professional competence or professional license to serve as auxiliary forces in the camp staff in the future. This can not only reduce the cost of additional expenditure of teachers, but also promote the children’s learning effectiveness in the camp courses. |
