The purpose of the study is to explore the influence of physician behaviors (humanisticcaring, technical competency and communication) and organization factors impact on patient trust. Weproposed a theoretical model which hypothesized humanistic caring, technical competency, andcommunication and organization factors have significantly influence on patient trust. The samplescollected from four regional hospitals in Taiwan (separated in North, Middle, South and East area ofTaiwan). The visit questionnaires were completed by 502 patients known to be eligible and data wereanalyzed by descriptive statistics, explorer factor, correlation, and regression analyses. (1) According tothe statistical results, the proposed model fits very well for the samples of four-area hospitals; (2)Humanistic caring, technical competency, communication and organization factors are significantlyand directly antecedents of patient trust in physician; (3) The rank of influential effect on patient trust iscommunication, technical competency, humanistic caring and organization factors. |
