The case study was a nursing experience for the self care and family adjust to caregiving stresses of a adolescent with thalassemia and lapascopic spleenectomy during the period of 7/28/93 to 8/10/93. Data collected by observation, interviews, physical examination, and Gordon's function assessment. The result of major nursing problems for both the care receiver and caregiver were: individual case had fear, injury, risk for, pain, health-seeking behaviors, caregiver rolestrain. After offering physical care, supporter, consultant and listener, the patient and family could face up the problems and the stresses of the disease. The finding could offer the references by the others. |
