Most of the relevant research of Jointer in recent years only focus in manufacturing standards, and there is few paper concentrating on the safety performances during operate. Therefore this report will not only study and compare the machinery safeguarding codes from article 23 to article 31, but also measure the noise, vibration and reaction force according to difference polishing (i.e. cutting) thickness of seven most common used wood by industry. In the experimental testing, we choose four difference samples for experimental measurement (350×60×60mm3、350×60×50mm3、350×60×30mm3、350×60×20mm3) under 0.5mm, 2mm, 4mm and 6mm polishing thick ness. The result shows: 1.maximum reaction force on push hand was 26.9kg; 2.maximum upper ward displacement was 3.16cm; 3.maximum noise reaching 93.5dB. Obviously, also the harder wood in reaction force, displacement and noise are significant higher than the sorter wood. This report presents the testing method and experimental data that will provide to revise machinery safeguarding codes and relative research in the future.
