The tripod anchorage connector is a very popular device used in confined space rescue systems. Due to high market demand, this device is a very desirable commercial product. Therefore, there is strong motivation to develop tripod anchorage connectors for confined space rescue systems. This study focused on the design, fabrication, and function testing of tripod anchorage connectors for confined space rescue systems. Mechanism analyses for the limbs and the head of the system structure were carried out. Stress analysis for the whole structure was also carried out. The resulting new design shows much improvement over existing commercial products. In addition, the study proposes a totally new intelligent“ dual power type hoisting machine” . The integration of push-button operation and remote control gives the product more flexibility and operability. A tension-loading control was also installed in the system to keep the motor from running of idle and guarantee the reliability of the system. As a result, the prototype developed during this study demonstrates feasibility, robustness and potential in the auxiliary safety tools market. |
