In the previous studies, the relationship between the changes of color temperature and the corresponding human physiological responses was usually surveyed by using single physiological measurement such as electrocardiogram, brain waves, etc. The whole body responses were seldom evaluated. In our study, the “systematic measurements of Ryodoraku”, which is currently widely used in the area of Chinese medicine to assess the benefits of acupuncture treatments, was used to study the effects of the “noncontact environmental stimulation”, such as color temperature changes, on human physiological responses. It is also used to study the availability of evaluating the whole body responses. In this study, 24 healthy participants were selected. We stimulated them with three different lighting environment with an intensity of 500lux and color temperature changes in 2700K, 4000K,and 6500K respectively under precise controlled indoor environment qualities, such as thermal comfort, sound noise level. The Ryodoraku measuring system was used to measure the human physiological responses. The statistically analyzed results are used to assess the participants’ physiological changes. The results showed that the Ryodoraku measuring system can measure the human physiological changes effectively. Among the 3 color temperatures, the high 6500K color temperature has the biggest effect on human physiological responses. |
