According to the results of experiments of the small-scale-chamber organic solvent evaporation detecting system, seven kinds of chemical compounds including toluene, o-xylene, m-xylene, p-xylene, ethyl benzene, methyl isobutyl ketone and n-butyl acetate have been chosen as an indicator of volatile organic compounds of solvent-based local paints in Taiwan. The temperature and the loading factor were affecting the solvent evaporating behavior of the solvent-based paints. The amounts of total volatile organic compounds (TVOC, y) are relative to the initial concentration(x) of those solvent-based paints by the equation of y = 251.33x2- 594.02 + 2245.5 and y = 3965.5x2-9247.9x + 42170 , at room temperature. In addition, the relationship between loading factor and TVOC emissions was observed as y = 7666.6x + 9726.8. |
