The DQI (Design Quality Indicator) has helped to raise the profile of design quality, and can be used to articulate the subjective qualities felt by different stakeholders in the design process and thereafter in the use of a building. Therefore, in this paper, it applies ‘Design Quality Indicator’ to evaluate ‘acoustics’, ‘daylighting and illumination’, ‘indoor air quality’ of indoor environment performance with ‘Japan Promotion Codes for the Assurance of Housing Quality’ and ‘Taiwan Design Quality Indicator’ (TDQI) for new housing projects. By comparison, it presents three assessment results: agreement, disagreement and impossibility of comparison. A disagreement of the assessment result, is the Floor Impact Sound item. Furthermore, this paper proposes that the dwelling types of a double and single unit have a high performance level of indoor environment evaluation. |
