This study looks into how the people of the Kabua Sua Tribe of the Siraya Nation have reclaimed their dignity and self-identity in the process cultural revitalization in the past twenty years. For years the Plains Indigenous Peoples have been considered as ethnic groups that have lost their traditional cultures. In the Kabua Sua case, it is found that by collectively reconstructed memories and cultural subjectivity, the Plains Indigenous Movement may help to bring back the tribal people and to forge their group identity. |
