本研究探討利用鋁離子進行薄膜中高分子磺酸基之離子交聯反應與離子水合現象提高滲透蒸發分離甲醇/水溶液效能,研究中以鋁離子為交聯離子與磺酸化後之聚嘲諷高分子交聯製備出不同離子交聯程度之薄膜,本文中探討離子交聯膜之膨潤特性、吸附特性和滲透蒸發對分離效能之影響,磺酸化聚噸諷(polysulfone, PSF)薄膜受到不同離子取代程度鋁離子交聯時,薄膜之離子水合效應對膨潤特性無顯著增加,且對於滲透蒸發之透過率亦只有微幅增加,然而鋁離子交聯卻導致分離係數先上升而後下降,其結果顯示甲醇水之共伴效應(coupling effect)於高膨潤狀態下導致薄膜選擇性降低,由實驗結果顯示離子交聯薄膜在於適當的離子取代量時,能有效提升滲透蒸發之選擇性能,並具有應用於高濃度甲醇水溶液分離之僭力。
英文摘要
The effect of aluminum ion crosslinking between polymer chains and hydration effect on the separation performance of Al/sulfonated polysulfone membranes were investigated by dehydration of methanol/water mixtures with pervaporation technology. The various degree of aluminum ion crosslinking membranes were prepared by exchanging aluminum ion with the sulfonated polysulfone. The influences of ion crossslinking on the degree of swelling, sorption properties, and pervaporation performance of ion crosslinking membranes were discussed. The minor influence on the degree of swelling of ion crosslinking membranes was found. The permeation rate of pervaporation of ion crosslinking membranes slightly increased and the separation factor firstly increased and then decreased with further increasing the degree of ion crosslinking. It was found that the ion crosslinking within polymer chains and hydration effect of ion cluster played important role to dominate the separation performance of dehydration of methanol/water mixtures. In the case of highly swelling of membranes, the coupling effect increased the permeation rate and lost the separation factor. It was indicated that the optimum ion crosslinking not only enhanced the diffusion selectivity but also the hydration effect and then promoted the separation performance of ion crosslinking membranes.
