Team Resource Management (TRM) training has been adopted and applied to the healthcare industry for over 10 years in Taiwan. It improves healthcare teamwork through team collaboration and effective communication further advances healthcare quality and establishes a culture of patient safety. In clinical practices, nurses are vital team members who participate in a variety of interdisciplinary TRM initiatives for improving quality care. Therefore, they should be knowledgeable about the concept and definition of TRM and reflect on the challenge of TRM they face from a research methodology point of view. To accommodate changes in healthcare needs in the near future, nurse managers should make the best use of TRM to develop their professional autonomy and leadership and promote the public's interaction with the healthcare team. |
