Traditional industrial model of mass manufacturing in Taiwan has gone through tremendous challenges in these days. Many manufacturing- based SMEs have tried to transform to a more eco-friendly operation model and attract new customers while maintaining their core products lines. Tourism factory, which combines core manufacturing with local cultural appeal, has proved to be a promising alternative strategy. Yet this new business model requires completely different operational concept and model. In this analytical framework, we would like to construct a comprehensive picture for running a successful tourism factory. Multiple case studies combined with DEMATLE are used to extract key success factors related with tourism factory. The results will be duly analyzed and policy suggestion will also be made accordingly to Tourism factory in Taiwan. |
