棒球員運動生命之敘說

Narration of a Baseball Player’s Career

本文以敘說探究的方式，呈現一位棒球員的敘說，回溯他在民國75至86年間從少棒、青少棒、青棒、成棒到職棒各階段運動生涯的體驗。歷經三個月的資料蒐集，以深度訪談為主要資料蒐集方法，另輔以非正式訪談、觀察、相關文件並撰寫研究者日誌等，採用同儕檢核、參與者檢核、簡介研究參與者、敘明研究歷程與研究者立場，建立研究的可信任性。經多重資料蒐集後，以敘說分析方法進行資料分析與重建文本，進行敘事性的書寫，建構台灣70至80年代學校、社會環境對棒球運動的熱衷和支持、各級棒球隊努力練習的情境、國內外比賽刻骨銘心的體驗，以及球員與教練在團隊互動中彼此信賴真感情的流露。體育運動學術研究者應永續紀錄過去、現在與未來運動人的生命故事，透過敘說者與閱聽者在共享運動故事的過程中，重新理解身心實踐的多元知識，在不斷的學習與再學習中累積豐富的實務經驗，使得各年代棒球人、事、物的智慧在源源不絕的傳承中是真實是有意義的。

This study presents the life of a baseball player, by using narrative inquiry, tracing back to the years 1986 to 1997; covering the player’s experiences in the Little, Junior, Senior, and Big Leagues and a professional baseball career. Utilizing three months of data collection, mainly in-depth interviews, and also informal interviews, observations, documents, and researchers’ journals as supplements, the researcher assured the research’s validity by the participants’ check and briefing, a research diary and a clear statement of the researcher’s point of view. With the collection of various data collected, this research uses the method of narrative analysis for analyzing the data and drawing conclusions from the findings. By the style of narrative writing, this study shall describe the environment of Taiwan in the 1980s and 1990s: the devotion and support for baseball from schools and the society, the passion for training sessions in every level, the unforgettable experiences of every game played, and trust, the heartfelt interaction between the coaching staff and the players. Academic researchers in sports recreation fields should continue recording the past, present and future events of athletes’ life stories. This study recommends the re-institution of the importance of learning in multiple subjects, and gaining practical experiences in the process of lifelong learning. Thus bringing more meaning to this legacy of wisdom and experiences passed on to every generation’s baseball events including baseball lovers everywhere.
