The problem that social work profession loses about 50% new grads to devote every year has existed for a long time. We found resources to be wasted in higher education and human resource to be short seriously in social work organizations. Deep interview of qualitative method was used in this research to analyze the factors influencing grads’ career choices in social work departments. We Employed snowball sampling to find 8 participants with bachelor’s degree of social work but not to devote to social work or used to be social workers. The research result showed that: 1. disquietude working condition and lacking of protection of career life, 2. problems of identification to professional value, 3. drawback of professional role and status, limited grads to be social workers. |
