This article analyzed in detai1 the 1imits and changes in physical structures and functions of aging by reviewing 1iteratures on physiology, medicine, and biology, three topics were discussed: (1)Thories of aging.(2) Changes in the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinaI, genitourinary, and neurosensory system.(3)Implications on Educational Gerontology.It is convinced that educational planning for the elderly should based on physiological foundations.In concluding, suggestions of ways to cope with physical changes of aging were presented. |
