Structures of 1-17 were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including NMR, UV, IR, and MS techniques. Biological evaluation revealed that compounds 8-10 possessed significant cytotoxicity against KB (ED50 = 3.8-5.2 μg/mL) and Hela (ED50 = 3.4-4.2 μg/mL) human tumor cells. In addition, compounds 1, 2, 4, and 14 were proved to have potent anti-oxidative activity (ED50 = 5.92-10.49 μM) by DPPH scavenging test. " |
