原住民族語言復振應由政府、學校、部落或社區、及家庭共同規劃及執行以下的基本策略，包括提升原住民族語言的官方地位與權利保障、厚實原住民族語文字和標準化、建立完整的原住民教育體制、培育足夠且稱職的族語師資、發展適用的課程與教材、以及營造族語生活與學習環境。

The planning and execution of indigenous language revitalization should integrate the government, schools, tribal or community, and family. These strategies include the promotion and protection of the rights of indigenous language, the promotion of indigenous language text and standardization, the establishment of a complete indigenous education system, the development of adequate and competent language teachers, the development of suitable curriculum and teaching materials, and the creation of a language living and learning environment.
