Starting with the idea of Tayal traditional territories and employing the approach of socio-ecological theories, we endeavor to explore how indigenous ecological knowledge has been accumulated in Tayal culture, and how its applications to sustainable uses of natural resources have been extended to a wide range of Tayal traditional territories. Further, we manage to dialogue with the common-pool resources theory from this Tayal perspective and make afforest to construct a theoretical framework so that the various governmental agencies may be better equipped with fundamental knowledge for conducting co-management. |
