電影與族群文化接觸的詮釋議題——以《賽德克．巴萊》為例

Interpreting Movies and Ethnic Culture Encounters from Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale

台灣原住民族自台灣政體解嚴之後，藝術創作成為復振自身文化的重要載體之一，許多部落皆有表現突出的傳統工藝師與新一代的創作人，突破原本傳統禁錮在這新世代運用創作做為文化傳承的媒介。本文試圖藉由長者創作敘事觀點來述說土地、人與文化傳承的議題，從中試圖瞭解知識系統的傳承。分析排灣族藝術創作的根源與發展模式，綜觀傳統到當代千百年當中，維持創作的精神面與內涵為何？同時，試論述口傳的歷史－－神話如何影響藝術創作。

Incidentally, the author had an opportunity to participate in the movie of Seediq Bale. In addition to thetranslation ofthe script,the authorserved asthe film's on-siteinstructorandthe General Counsel of history and culture.When the director, Te-sheng Wei, filmed the five minutes videoof Seediq Balein 2003, he invitedme to translateChineseto Seediq language through his cousin. During the filmingof Seediq Bale, the author realizedthe effortsofthe directorandthe staff,butalso thoughttheyhad limitedawareness andself-interpretationfor indigenoushistory and culture. Thus, the author determined to write books, exploredthe Wushe Uprisingand historyandculture of Seediq. After published twohistorical and cultural booksof Seediq, the author is still concerned with “whilethe movierendezvouswith indigenousculture, what we can do?”
