This review collected the all research papers published from 1986 to 1990 about natural product chemistry by the researchers of Taiwan's area. The chemical studies of forty families (inciuding 105 kinds of species) of Gymnosperman and Angiospermea (Acanthaceae. Annonaceae, Apocynaceae, Basellaceac, Bignoniaceae, Caprifoliaceae, Celastraceae, Combretaceae, Compositae, Crassulaceae, Cupressaceae, Ebemaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Gentianaceae, Gramineae, Guttiferae, Hamamelidaceae, Labiatae, Lauraceae, Liliaceae, Magnoliaceae, Moraceae, Myristicaceae, Orchidaceae, Papaveraceae, Pinaceae, Piperaceae, Pittosporaceae, Plum baginaceae, Polygonaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rhamnaceae, Rubiaceae, Rutaceae, Solanaceae, Sterculiaceae, Taxaceae, Taxodiaceae, Verbenanceae, and Vitaceae), ten families (inciuding 28 kinds of species) of fern plant (Adiantaceae, Athyriaceae, Cheiropleuriaceae, Dennstaedtiaceae, Dryoperidaceae, Lindasaeaceae, Plagiogyriaceae, Polypodicaeae, Pteridaceae, and Thelypteridaceae), 6 species of Iiverworts (Buzzania dic1ados, Mastigophora woodsii, Mylia nuda, Pleurozia acinosa, and Trichocolea pluma), pheromons of Heliothis armigera and Ostrinia furnacalis, second metabolism of Coryceps species, Ganoderma applanatum, G. lucidum, and microbial oxidation of triterpene with Mycobacterium species, were introduced in this review. From 194 research papers, 230 new compounds were elucidated. In these compounds inciude terpenoids, f1avanoids, lignans, alkaloids, coumarins, arylquinones, glycosides, phenylpropanoids, steroids, and xanthonoids et al differene skeleton compounds, In above chemical studies expressed good results were shown as follows: Calocedrus formosana, Cudrania cochinchinensis, Fissistigma glaucescens, Fritillaria species, Murraya euchrestifolia, M. paniculata var. omphalocarpa, Polyalthia longifolia, Scutellaria indica, S.rivularis, Sedum alfredi, and Taxus mairei. Some compounds exhibited characteristic biological activity from above natural components. |
