This study offered statistical analysis about the equipment cost and special needs of sand-filter and carbon filtration system for building water recycling system. It provided architects to find out accurate valuation initial cost of water reclamation facilities, and the calculated function of equipments space demand with empirical equations. The results revealed that construction fee of water reclamation facilities approximately takes 20% to 25 % of total construction cost, and 75% to 80% were concentrated in equipment costs (including electrical and mechanical, processing, pipeline and tanks). Buildings that abide by Building Technical Code and which floor area is more than 30,000 square meters, the initial cost of water reclamation facilities could be lower than 60 NTD /m2 . When the treatment capacity is below 200 CMD, it could be reach to 55 NTD/m2 . The R2 of calculated equation was above 0.96, and consistent with the assumption of exponential decreasing function trend of internal economics. That is, the larger the scale of the facilities is, the fewer the unit cost it would require. |
