The Matsu Island Chain, a lot of fine villages is still preserved so far. However, large quantities of funds have been spent recently by the government. However, the acquisition and the use of materials are entirely different as those in the past. Original village appearance was destroyed by imported white building stones and the street furniture. This study examines the acquisition of traditional building materials of the Matsu Island Chain. Houses and Landscapes in Jinsa village, Dapu village and Fuzhen village are taken as an example. Examine the acquisition of materials and local resources use efficiency. The paper will argues that through the control of the use of the old material and the application of the concept of the Local Resource Use Efficiency, the environmental and cultural sustainability in Matsu Islands Village Environmental Maintenance and Conservation will be preserved. |
