The building codes regarding the basic sound insulation performance of building structure to reduce the environmental noise between units have been legalized worldwide. However, the provisions for sound insulation standards have not been regulated in domestic building technical regulations but adopting the way of listing structures. Therefore, to follow the CNS trend of ISO standards for architectural acoustics, this study made a field measurement by using CNS 15160-4 and 15160-7 to measure sound insulation performance of existing dwelling houses, and compared the measurement with sound insulation standards of other various countries. The results showed the 150 mm RC and cement mortar common wall between dwellings was conformed the regulation of some countries and filed insulation performance level was 50. While the field sound insulation performance of dwelling-houses with base concrete floors with cement mortar and tiles could not be conformed to the requirements for sound insulation standards of any country. Thus, to improve the residential sound environment and living quality, this study suggests that it should take sound insulation standards of other countries as reference for building technical regulations in our country and revise the relative clauses. |
