The Green Lights Program is aimed at lighting design with high energy efficiency, safe and safety. However, outdoor lighting in Taiwan is usually designed with low energy-efficient luminaires or over designed. Moreover, there is no suitable energy standard for outdoor lighting. To improve lighting environment and propose design suggestion of energy conservation, road lighting and outdoor lighting in community were chosen as the samples to evaluate lighting power density (LPD) and lighting quality such as illuminance, luminance and uniformity. The lighting simulation software DIALux was used to analyze lighting quality and energy efficiency with different lighting sources. The results not only supply LPD suggestion of energy conservation for community outdoor lighting plan, but also help improve urban energy efficiency and nighttime lighting environment. |
