In view of current institutions of higher architectural education exists double-track curricula systems: general university and technical vocational college. In addition, the specific and fine architecture industry work division trends also become the essential parts should be considered in the curriculum models. The purpose of our study intends to establish the suitable architecture curriculums in technical university in order to serve the needs of architecture vocation. We adopted the concepts of “Objective model / Process model”, “Norm-referenced / Competency-Based / ”principles and “Unit Vocational Program / Cluster Concept Program” Curriculum framework to develop core curricula structure models which could fit the needs of architecture technology of Taiwan and help students prepare their abilities before entering career. Different curricula structure models will be designed according to the major goals of the different departments. Finally, we hope these suitable models can provide better services to meet the change for Architecture education as well as industry. |
