This article aims to explore women’s learning in the perspectives of feminist epistemologies and feminist pedagogy. It begins by indicating that the adult learning theories based on the foundation of modernist epistemology ignore the historical, social and cultural differences of the experiences and selves of learners. Instead, feminist epistemologies disclose the power relation behind the construction of knowledge that is influenced by the social position of the knowledge producers, and verify the legality of women’s experiences and knowledge. Based on the foundation of feminist epistemology, feminist pedagogy emphasize the importance of teaching and learning process with feminist care, expect to approach the aim of women empowerment by the learning process of giving voices and reconstructing the meanings of experiences and selves. |
