The purpose of this artical was to develop a leadership attitude scale for the groups of adult education, and applicate it to the field of adult education practice. Literature review inculded leadership theory, the natural quality of leadership, and the measurement of leadership attitude. After the item analysis and internal consistency reliability test, the leadership attitude scale contained 25-item was developed. Than, this scale was administrated to 149 students with 26 university students and 123 adult students, the major findings were: 1.there was no significantly difference between university students and adult students. 2.there was a significantly difference within three types adult education group: The students of self-help group leader of the elderly put more emphasis on leadership task and service, the students of business management put more emphasis on leadership behavior and authority, and the students of study circle put more emphasis on leadership learning and self growth. The author proposed suggestions to the implication of the leadership attitude scale and to the practice of adult education leadership. |
