臺灣地區老人教育研究之反思

A Roflexion on the Researches of Geragogy in Taiwan

研究本身即是一種反思的過程。從社會建構主義者的觀點而言，研究是知識的建構。在建構過程之中，我們必須不斷的折回以避免造成更多的錯誤。本文旨在反思台灣地區自I988年以來的老人教育研究和論文。其目的有三：1.分析其研究的特性2.探討具研究的困境3.尋求研究的新取向。透過本研究，可發現當前老人教育的研究皆固著在實證典範、工具理性與技術興趣，以致未能創見且狹化了老人教育研究的發展。因此作者建議我們必須進行方法論的轉折，也就是從實證典範轉為詮釋典範，以擴張我們的視野。

A research itself is a process of reflection. For social constructionists, researches are social constructions of knowledge. In this process, researchers have to continuely bend back in order to avoid making more mistakes. This paper attempts to reflect on the dissertations and studies of geragogy published in Taiwan since 1988. There are three purposes: 1.To analyze the characteristics of the researches 2.To explore the dilemmas of the researches 3.To find new approaches for geragogical researches.According to this study, we find the current geragogical researches fix on the positivist paradigm, instrumental reason, and technical interest so that there is no innovation and the geragogical studies are limited. Conclusively, the author suggest we must conduct a methodological turn. In other words, we must pay more attentions to the hermeneutic paradigm rather than the positivism by which expanding our perspectives.
