性問題研究是近年來智能不足文獻探究的主題之一,主要是著眼於智能不足者的心智發展雖然較正常者遲緩,但生理發展的速率與生理上的基本能力及需求上郤與正常者無異。惟因受制於傳統的刻板印象的做法,以及面臨日益開放的社會環境要求,目前封於智能不足者的性行為已有較新的看法,認為透過性活動的適切表達,可維持其身心健全的發展,更為真正落實性教育的實施,提昇社會的生活品質,本文建議在對智能不足者實施學校性教育和訓練時,除應針對其認知層次的不同,提供具有適直性、層次性.具體性與周期性的性教育計畫外,家庭成員的參與,尤其是其父母以及社會大眾的配合,部是不可或缺的重要因素。
英文摘要
Sexual behavior is becoming one of the critical issue in the literature of mental retardation recently. Wth the recognition that the intellectual capacities is subnormal, whereas physical development and function are quite normal comparing with the other same age group. However, due to the traditional sexually stigmatized in the past years and the presently challege of free society, there are growing the new concept concerning the sexual expression of mentally retarded people. A number of researchers have indicated that sexual expression is significant to the retarded people because it is related to their personal happiness and successful marriage. Therefore, to be effective to implement the sex education and training as well as to promote the living quality of society, suggestions were provided that the appropriate, hierarchical, concrete, and thoughtful sex education in the school must be developed. In addition, it is imperative to have the family of the retarded, especially the parent, and the public get involved.
