This cross-sectional study focus on taxi driver's perceived musculoskeletal unwellness for the past one year, and related factors such as socio-geographic, vocational, preventive, and psychological factors were analyzed as associated variables. Participants consisted of 156 male taxi drivers with age between 26 and 63 chosen by purposeful sampling from four taxi driver rest stops in Taipei city. A constructed questionnaire was administered assisted by interviewer through one by one interview. The results indicate as follows. 1.) The top three perceived musculoskeletal unwell ness are have a pain muscle on neck, lumbar, and shoulder. 2.) Education, monthly off days, the times of daily work break and perceived work-related pressure are associated with taxi drivers' perceived musculoskeletal unwell ness. According to the findings, we found a link between the taxi drivers's perceived musculoskeletal unwell ness and whether they adequately take a rest intervallic at working and how they perceive their work-related pressure. The results will contribute to design a health education for the taxi drivers. |
