Improper use of building-attached scooter parking spaces, as well as current, relevant laws governing the use of scooter parking spaces for buildings in Taipei City study were reviewed in this study to analyze their insufficiency. This study is conducted in three phases: literature reviews, case analyses, and thesis confirmation. In literature reviews, the first phase of the study, relevant theories, literature and theses are reviewed to gain a deep understanding into the relevant literature regarding scooter parking spaces, management practices of building attached scooter parking spaces, and the history and reforms of regulations governing the use of building-attached scooter parking spaces. Case analyses were conducted in the second phase of the study to investigate the deployment and use of building attached scooter parking spaces in Taipei City. In the third phase, the thesis of the study was identified from the results concluded in the first two phases of the study and both the building design and management dimensions were addressed to propose effective solutions conceived based on the management of building attached scooter parking spaces and as references for relevant government authorities. |
