Manpower quality is the key force in “knowledge economy” and “creative economy”. In 2011, more than 170,000 people are employed in the cultural and creative industries, and the number is increasing with times. Education is essential for promoting the creative economy, and it facilitates the development of the cultural and creative industries. Relying on the definitions and development of these industries, this essay explores the factors and limits of cultural and creative talents. Subsequently, we discuss the establishment of academic institutions of cultural and creative industries in Taiwan, and suggest strategies on talent development for concerned government organizations, companies, and educational institutions. |
