Printing industry is a part of applied industry. Printing technology is increasingly advanced and its process has also changed significantly due to the development of information technology and Internet application. Printers are facing a new era, an era with digital and global competition. The future development of printing service is toward to diverse aspects, including e-commerce, web communication and management, data base management, personalization, on-demand, and etc., in order to maintain market competition. The purpose of this paper is to explore the printing technology trends for the next ten years using documentary analysis and intensive literature review. The subjects covered in this paper included economy and print markets, print and press technology analysis, prepress and digital process analysis, finishing and binding technology and market analysis, printing suppliers and materials. Graphic communication education and training, printing standards and specifications, and digital market management. |
