This main purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between junior high school principal's cultural leadership and school organizational change in central Taiwan. The method applied in this study was survey research. Participants in this study were teachers from 65 junior high schools in central Taiwan. 582 valid surveys were used for the data analysis, the valid return rate reaches 71%. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. According to the analysis results, the study found that: junior high school teachers’ perception about their principals' cultural leadership could be categorized as medium to high level in central Taiwan. “Basic underlying assumptions” showed the highest level, and “artifacts” showed the lowest level. Furthermore, junior high school teachers’ perception about organizational change could be categorized as medium to high level in central Taiwan. “The skill of work” showed the highest average value, and “the conduct of member” showed the lowest average. Finally, according to the research results, we have suggestions for education administrative agencies, principals of the junior high school, and researchers for their reference in the future. |
