The Overview and Prospect of Study on Wang Yuanqi

Wang Yuanqi, a master in the painting history of Qing Dynasty, influenced the painting circles more than 200 years. In history, Wang Yuanqi is being studied constantly by people who mainly lay particular emphasis on his style and technique's passing on. Since 20th century, the study of Wang Yuanqi in the meaning of modern historiography fine arts started gradually, having made some more valuable achievements. This text plans to review internal and external scholar's course and achievement about research of Wang Yuanqi these decades and introduce their research direction and method, comment their important theories briefly, put forward some personal views on the development of Wang Yuanqi study in the future. As to the further deepening and expanding this subject, I hope this text to get up certain enlightenment meaning.
