The Educational Bureau of Yunlin county proposed the rural school Improvement project in 2007 intent to help raise the performance of small rural schools. This study focused on How to operate the school improvement policy within the school staff, such as perceived interpretation, understanding and implementation. This study used a qualitative case study, purposive sampling to select a small rural school of Yunlin County, which had received a best reward, as a research field. Using intensive interviews to collect data, including total of five teachers and director of Academic Affairs and Principal who were interviewed. Through data analysis, this implications of the study showed that the background of proposed reform policy need to make teachers have more complete understanding. When the weak energy of the school initiative, the top-down school improvement policy still has its positive effects. And the sound communication is the critical operation mechanism to promote school improvement running smoothly. |
