本論文簡要回顧及探討技職英語教育之困難及發展現況,並進一步分析可能之改善對策,本文藉由大華科大之個案說明,除投入更多數位化學習軟硬體及教學時數外,技職同學學習英語之態度及動機首先須有效改善及增強。本文並引用Krashen (2004,2011) 外語學習理論,提出以學生興趣為本位之自我學習途徑。This short paper discusses current status of English Teaching in TA HWA. It analyzes possible causes of its limited success until present time, though much effort and resources have been put into improvement of English Proficiency of students in technical education system. We find out that unless students’ motivation and interest of learning EFL (English as a Foreign Language) is sufficiently enhanced and learning situation being up-graded, it is will be almost futile even if additional teaching hours and e-learning gadgets are invested. We suggest that current problems related with learning attitudes of students should be carefully studied such that new methods and institutional arrangements could be rightly put forward. Based upon second language acquisition theory of Krashen (2004, 2011), a new interest-based, student-centered learning approach has been proposed. |
