Yingzao Fashi established the earliest database and summary of legal rules for Chinese construction projects, allowing them to carry out construction in the most efficient way. It detailed architectural design, proportion, structure, construction, materials, etc. Legal requirements. In particular, the complex structure of the roof truss system in the Wood-Frame Construction is made up of simple stacked brackets. Even the overall complex architectural form can be described using simple formal vocabulary. Thus, it can reflect its unified appearance in different levels of use scale. This study constructs spatial semantic rules (SSR) to define object attributes, geometry, and their three-dimensional spatial combination relationships. And through the unit attributes and combinations of components, its rules are analyzed and the geometric characteristics of the object are figured out. And use the parametric method of Building Information Modeling (BIM) to generate a variety of composite components to establish a database, summarize data, and analyze and evaluate. This study verified that the transformation using Yingzao Fashi semantic rules effectively operates on the BIM platform, not only parsing the database of Wood-Frame Construction objects, but also controlling the automation process. Finally, the prototype of a Dougong of Yingzao Fashi semantic BIM automation system for Wood-Frame Construction was constructed.
