The Hsinchu Branch of National Taiwan University Hospital embarked on the challenge of advancing from a regional hospital to a medical center through comprehensive medical accreditation. A pivotal aspect of the process involved restructuring the hospital’s quality management framework. Employing the "Balanced Scorecard" methodology to align the entire hospital’s quality management objectives, the hospital established the "Quality Control Officer" system to intensify collaboration between the Center for Quality Management and clinical units in quality management. Through strategic participation in external competitions and contributions to international conferences, the hospital seeks to inspire its employees with a sense of accomplishment and a passion for quality improvement. Moreover, through consultation, communication, and the dissemination of educational training, the hospital actively assists other hospitals in the region in meeting the requirements of accreditation or health authority inspections. Concurrently, the hospital proactively collaborates with local health authorities to enhance the overall quality of medical care and patient safety.
