盧嘉興台灣鹽業研究論文之回顧與補述

Review and Supplement of Lu Jia-xing's Research Paper on Taiwan Salt Industry

盧嘉興發表之鹽業研究論文計21篇，作者於1981年2月將之彙編重印，列為《臺灣研究彙集》第21冊，這是研究台灣鹽業史不可或缺的參考文獻。

該等論文探討主題有古鹽埕位置考證、晒鹽方法、鹽務制度及各縣市曬鹽場史略等四大類。由於論文研究當時，史料極度缺乏，且又處政治戒嚴時期，論文中有些觀點明顯錯誤，有些則遷就政治現實而曲筆，故有重新檢討之必要。

本文擬利用新出土史料來檢視盧氏有關台灣製鹽之源起、古鹽場、曬鹽法及鹽務制度之研究成果，並嘗試予以補正，以重新賦與論文新的生命，期能繼續嘉惠有志於台灣鹽業發展史之研究者。

 

A total of 21 research papers on salt industry published by Lu Jia-xing. The collection was published in February 1981 as Vol. 21 of the Taiwan Research, an indispensable reference for the study of the history of Taiwan salt industry.

The topics discussed in these papers are four kinds: location examination in ancient salt field, method of solar salt manufacture, salt selling system, and history of salt field in each county and city. At the time of research, there was a great shortage of historical data, and during the period of political martial law, some of the papers were clearly wrong, while others were misinterpreted in accordance with political realities. Indeed there needed to be reviewed.

In this paper, we would like to use newly unearthed historical materials to review Lu’s research on the origin of salt, ancient salt field, method of solar salt manufacture, and salt selling system in Taiwan and try to correct them to give new life. I hope that it can continue to benefit researchers who are interested in the historical of Taiwan salt industry.
