To Care for Head Injury, Chia-Yi Christian Hospital Took Preventive Measures-The Experience Sharing of Traumatic Brain Injury Care Certification by Ditmanson Medical Foundation Chia-Yi Christian Hospital

創傷性腦損傷的照護需要多科別及跨部門成員共同合作，方能打破各單位本位主義，凝聚共同目標及向心力，設定一致的照護流程及建立品質指標。品質指標可以檢視照護品質不足之處，團隊經由不斷滾動式的修正，終將指標轉為自動化收集；並導入資訊及多元創新通訊技術，首創建置IMPACT Outcome Score系統，評估創傷性腦損傷病人預後及死亡率，有利醫師進行病情說明，降低不必要的醫療行為，亦榮獲醫策會2020年國家醫療品質獎「智慧解決方案組-特別獎-潛力獎」。

 

Care for traumatic brain injury requires multidisciplinary and interdepartmental cooperation to remove the sectionalism of each unit, congregate common goals and cohesion, and establish consistent care procedures and quality indicators, which can be used to assess the quality of care and identify inadequacies. Through constant rolling adjustment, the indicators were eventually converted for automatic collection. Additionally, information and diverse innovative communications technologies were introduced to invent an IMPACT Outcome Score system to assess the prognosis and mortality of patients with traumatic brain injury. The system helps physicians in explaining the disease condition to the patients and avoids unnecessary medical behavior. The system won "Smart Solution Group-Special Award for Potential" of 2020 National Healthcare Quality Award by Joint Commission of Taiwan.
