The National Intercollegiate Athletic Games is the highest-level event for college students nationwide; the elite athletes in the open group have received years of Taekwondo training and developed comprehensive techniques. The attack techniques of Taekwondo form the best attack timing through time difference and space difference. Combining footwork with technical movements, active attacks or passive counterattacks are carried out. In response to fighting stance, use the left, right or front and back feet(hand) together with particular footwork and attack techniques to form a perfect competitive attack strategy. Therefore, to the benefit of future Taekwondo Technical training policy and tactical application, this paper systematically analyzed data and factors from the performance of the Taekwondo gold medalists in the National Intercollegiate Athletic Games, including the number of attacks and points scored, timing of attack, the attacking feet, the application of footwork, the attack technique, and the correlation between the attack rate and the scoring rate. In conclusion, the gold medalists of men’s team mastered the timing of attack, attacked actively to score points, performed the side kick with the right forefoot as tentative attacks followed by the spin kick to launch an effective attack in an attempt to increase the scoring rate. The active attack strategy is in line with the current trend. However, the attack mode by using the side kick followed by the spin kick in situ, the former one as a way of interference and the latter as scoring, appears to lack variety. The research object mentioned above is already a taekwondo gold medalist, yet to be outstanding internationally, athletes should take a prudent attitude, stay on top of the development trends of players from all over the world, and be well-prepared beforehand. Along with fully understanding and mastering the application of various tactics, it is essential to target different opponents with different tactics. By means of developing various strategies with flexibility and applying tactics skillfully, athletes are expected to set the pace and dominate the opponents in order to gain a magnificent triumph.
